A Moment in Time

by livefreebright   Nov 28, 2005

The fire crackles laughter at the fools we've become
The light of your eyes reflects in mine
In that very moment everything about turns to a blur
Oblivious to anything but the depht of your pupils
As I stare down into your soul
Like slow motion our heads are pulled together like magnets
Our nervous lips drying from the heat of the fire
I'm close enough to see the flames dance inside your eyes
That is the last thing I see before I feel the warmth of your breath on my face
Our lips connect passionatly and time seems to speed up
Or slow down I can not tell for I've lost all sense of time
Lost all sense of feeling to anything
But love that burns like the fire before us
And as we part our ways our eyes they met again
An involentary smile spreads across your sweet lips
A nervous giggle escapes my grasp
You lay a heavy head onto the foundation
I rest mine into the curve of your back
Sleep over takes us both as we realize not what we have done
We have changed the course of time
And forever will we be one
Love has overpowered our strong willing hearts
Over come by emotions too scared to express before
We find ourselves in this moment in time
Sleeping together, by the fire, on the floor.
