IT'S YOU, BUT

by Joe Moore   Dec 3, 2005

EVERY TIME I SEE YOU
YOU GIVE ME THIS LOOK
LIKE I NEED TO GIVE BACK
SOMETHING I TOOK

NOT A MEAN STARE
MORE LIKE OF DESIRE
NOT AN UGLY GLARE
MORE LIKE SOMETHING YOU ADMIRE

YOU TRY TO LOOK AWAY
SO OUR EYES WONT MEET
BUT I CAUGHT YOU TODAY
AND I FELT YOUR HEAT

YOU ACT LIKE YOU'RE SCARED
OF WHAT COULD POSSIBLY BE
CAUSE YOU'RE UNPREPARED
TO APPROACH A BROTHER LIKE ME

BUT I'M LAYING OUT MY CARDS
THIS MOMENT BELONGS TO YOU
JUST BRING YOURSELF TO SAY
HELLO TO ME TOO
