I always thought you liked me
Though I've taken you for granted
Coz I thought I'll always be
The girl you ever wanted

Your best friend always told me
That there'll be a guy for me
A guy that would fill this empty space
And in pain would set me free

I knew that it was you
Coz you've been a great guy to me
Though we wouldn't talk a lot
Your acts would bring me glee

You're not the smartest guy
Nor the captain of the football team
But I liked you from the start
You've been the guy in my dreams

I always thought that in the end
We'll be the best of friends or more
But I never did foresee
Like the others, my heart you'll tore

This day I didn't expect
That your best friend would come out and tell
That you're in love with someone else
With my friend your heart had fell

My friend said you liked her
Coz she has that smile of beauty
What good am I for you?
I am a bit of snooty

But why does beauty mean everything
Why does she get all she wants?
Why am I always left with nothing?
Not a single thing I can flaunt

I thought you liked me for me
But you were just like them
Those guys who made me cry
Can't you just like me for who I am?

Why am I here in the first place?
In this world living in melancholy
Though all I can do is write verses
Poems of heart ache and misery

There will never be that moment
When I truly feel cherished
By someone whom my heart wishes
Coz my heart will always be left perished

No matter what I do I’ll still weep
Keep asking myself what fault my heart did
