Forsaking

Forsaking
By: Jamie Redlawsk

For me you are forsaking
For now my heart is breaking
Turned away, so turned away
Im left the one whos aching

Rise up in desperation
Im calling out your name
Bewildered in the twilight
You played and won the game

Stars the brightest glowing
The leaves fall underfoot
Every snap, a racing pulse
My place so solely put

For me you are forsaking
For now my bodys shaking
Walked away, so walked away
A failure in the making

Cry out in fear and longing
Im here in trapped pursue
Sobbing on my misery
Stretching stare for you

The world and all its shadows
The night and all its drab
Sun for show in fantasy
Brought down upon the stab

For me you are forsaking
For now the pain is taking
Fell away, so fell away
I stir but Im not waking

Nightmares come and gripping
To depths one cannot sway
The trough stir freely in the time
And reason wouldnt say

The outcasts and the loathed
Walked on, forgotten pride
The tears leaked out so fluently
And the faces fled to hide
