The story of the dragons

by Mataya   Dec 5, 2005

A extreme dragon stood before me
With a sparkle in his eye
He said to me " I am here to tell you..
Why the dragons no longer fly."
He said "I'm the last one left you see"
And all the rest of my kind are dead
Warriors have killed us and put our teeth on enormous shields
"I only wish they would yield
I want to tell this story to you
before the kill me too
I see them search for me night and day
But i am sure i am out of sight
You see i helped a human out long ago
After he had been shot through the heart
From a golden bow with an arrow
I could only trust him
But now he is overcome with lust
I fear he hunts me to now
So i can no longer live here."
A warrior then appeared at the mouth of the cave
And pointed a spear at the dragon
Then gave a great heave
The arrow then pierced the dragons heart
But before he laid down to die
He said to me
Now you can tell you children and grandchildren
As you look into their eyes
Why dragons no longer rule the skies
