Faults

by Maisha   Dec 13, 2005

Sometimes, at night, when alone
My thoughts ablaze and my dreams on hold,
My mind wanders through the possibilities,
And I wonder whether you've done anything you shouldn't have.

Like kissed that guy
Or told that lie,
Should you have done
This or that?

And my heart tells me softly,
Softly you're the one
The one I need to
To whom I need to apologise.

That night that I told you
It's all coming back.
That night I said to you
All that you lacked.

Your eyes fill with tears-
A sight I thought I'd never see-
And I knew you deserved all my pity,

Your faults were exposed,
And the words that I chose,
And the sweet talks we had,
All of this suddenly gone bad.
