Save The Sacrifice

by Jacks smirking revenge   Dec 14, 2005

We used to spend every day ignoring rules and breaking laws
We would talk for hours and never pause
Ramble and laugh and let out from the core
Best friends who always knew there was something more

As we made other friends we talked less and less
But that could slide, I'll see ya later I guess
When you had a new girl, she turned you into the drug prince
Being her next sacrifice, you haven't been the same since

It was all fun and games and I did it too
But no one came down as hard as you
Focused on getting high every minute
She pulled you away from me and down to her shyt

On your knees in love and I didn't care too much
Then your heart was broke bad and you wouldn't eat lunch
She had always been cheating, I found it bittersweet
Talking to me helps a lot when you feel you've been beat

We used to party hard and live it up high
We would never stop being together; never die
More than once had we messed around "just a friend"
Never let anything come between us, nothing we couldn't mend

I sit and I see the broken life you lead
My heart cries out with means to bleed
Hitting the ground with a scream of agony
The look on your face brought out the good in me:

"I have something to tell you before you pop that pill
I love you and I always will
Your broken brain cells won't change the effect you've had on me
So put it the pain down and help me set you free"
