I found you

by RB   Dec 18, 2005

I found you in the most unexpected time,
Yet I found you when the time was right,
Now you're here in my life,
Helping me to fight.

The disease which is taking my life,
Yet, you are always there to hold my hand,
You are always ever so watchful,
Always there to understand.

When I can't get up in the morning,
Or when I have trouble breathing,
Yet I found you,
And you help my heart breathing.

I found you so I could keep going on,
For you won't let me die,
You are there to catch me when I fall,
You are always there to wipe my eyes dry.

When the nights are so cold and lonely,
I found you to brighten up my day,
When the pain has blocked my path,
You always show me the way.

I found you to help me fight,
This heart disease which is taking my life,
I found you, as you found me,
To help me fight this pain and strife.

I don't know what I would have done,
If I hadn't found you,
I found a friend,
To help me pull through.

But as I think of it now,
It was not only I who was looking for a friend to be.
I found you,
Just as You found me.
