My goodbye

by Martyna   Dec 18, 2005

And to think,
I was faintly considering another attempt at this,
mess.
Did you think that jealousy would make it better?
Nothing can now.
We are ashes, we are a
burnt down palace.
This is my goodbye,
please realize it.
Never throw rocks at my window again,
I wont answer.

I love how you can squeeze so much beauty into such short a poem, I always feel like mine go on too long. "We are ashes, we are a
burnt down palace." God, what an amazing metaphor... absolutely love it. I also love the rocks on the window bit, just for the old school image it evokes.
