There's nothing better than family love... Love is all we need, and what better time to share it than christmas! You dad must be a humble man. We often forget those who are more needy than us, and some of us don't even understand the days before our time where money was always scarce. A great write with a deep and meaningful message. Something we should all take note of at christmas time :)

Oh Luanne, you really touched my heart today, thanks so much for sharing this with us.... my mom and dad tell us and our kids about their times growing up and how the love of their families always got them through. This is why we are such a close and loving family, not many people can relate to that these days. A very heartfelt and loving write with such a beautiful and strong message. Beautifully written as well.

    Smiles, Hugs and Love, Angela

Merry Christmas to you and your family, God bless your hearts and bring you peace, love, happiness and good health....

I also came from a big family and I've seen times I got very little and I was the oldest. But as your daddy's quote says: I never went to bed hungry and our home was filled with love...I guess this makes us older people appreciate things so much more....Love is the key and we never did without even if it was just a baby doll for the girls and a truck for my brother....This brought back memories for me.....A beautiful and meaningful Christmas poem....

    Merry Christmas
    I love you girl

That was a beautiful poem! It's sad that they didn't have more money, but it's wonderful they had all that love =)
