Lonely

If there are any higher powers above us on earth,
maybe God or even fate.
I just came to say I've finished my search.
But I didn't find anyone, maybe I was too late.
Everybody was taken and I was left.

It would be great if you could somehow find me a lover,
because I'm getting really sick of this life on my own.

But maybe there's just an unwritten rule,
maybe some people are born to be alone?
