Lonely nights

by waiting4U2Bmine   Dec 21, 2005

Lonely nights spent waiting for you
Lonely nights what else can I do

Having just a taste of what could be mine
Having to wait is so crule and undevine

Wanting to have you here by my side.
Wanting you to hold me during all those nights you should have been mine.

You are a love that I wish I didn't have the chance to feel
Cause now I know that its not just a dream but can be so very real.

Your promises of love and everything in between
When I turn to you, your no where to be seen.

Searching for answers all through the night.
Thought that this love was real and so right.

Seeing you many months from that horrible day
All I got was a smile as you went on your way.

Hurt and confused I rush home to my room
And start crying on my pillow of lonesome tears just for you.

Letting it go.. Letting it all flow away
Waking up the next morning A new woman and leaving the past where it may.

Heartfelt and beautifully written. Wonderful display of emotion and of letting go.
