The Last Day

by Colleen   Dec 21, 2005

The fire men came,
the fire men went,
and they couldn't find the car
with all the smashes and dents.

She lay there cold,
but felt nothing,
her mind froze,
not knowing what was happening.

She tried to look out the window
to see who was there,
but even trying to move an inch, would take the time, and care.
Her nice blue velvet seats
were now red, from the gushing blood she had recently shed.

She thought about
her loving husband named Kevin,
but she knew now,
they might soon be in heaven.

She tried not to remember
what had happened,
but she would for ever remember
the screams and terror that
flowed over their mind and soul.

The fire men came,
the fire men went,
and they found the car
with all the smashes and dents.

Though the fire men found them dead,
all of these horrible memories
would remain forever in
their head.
