Deer\'s Life (Earth)

by Michael   Dec 24, 2005

Across the hills
and over the river
I continue forth.

Then
what stood before me
were towers of life
full of foliage
and specimens
that crept through it's corners.

...a forest...

Walking quietly
while branches break
beneath my feet
while shadow
stays behind.

But far off
within a distance
a deer raised it's head
in curiosity of myself.

The deer
frightened,
yet calm
trouts off
back to it's life.

Wondering
that this is one life
that stood before me
billions watch and gather.

Waiting to explore
I touch the ground
and watch
life's memories
while spirit
floating in a trance.
I see
a seed
falling from they sky
aided by hands by the sun
the breath of air
and the tears of water.

From there,
vines creep
trees spur open
flowers bloom
mountains stand proud
and volcanos watch over as a protector.

Then like another seed
animals flourish
throughout this magical land
some that belong to water
some to gravity
others that feet barely touch the earth.

All
cursed or blessed
by the gentle brush
of life's blood.

Seasons pass
by leaves farewell
to the trees,
snow touches the earth
as it shivers,
to the flower's awake
then starting after the ground's skin
becomes like desserts.

Earth:
inhabitant of all life
mysterious
wonder
more to describe.

I return
to life itself
with the calm deer
as memory
for time.

But for now,
as I lay on this ground
closing eyes silently
that I will be born here
I will live here
I will die here.

But now
waiting for time to deteriorate...

...I sleep...
...remembering...
...that deer's life...
