My dream christmas

by just a poet   Dec 24, 2005

As i lie here all alone,
on such a fated Christmas day,
i remember all the hardship,
and think of a special day.

i think of my dream Christmas,
snow falling all around,
the birds are chirping,
the only beautiful sound.

every-one at peace,
no-one is sad,
every-one is smiling tonight,
banished is the bad.

Christmas trees here standing,
presents and lights surround it,
the Christmas cheer is spreading,
around the world bit by bit.

great joy fills the world,
and banished is all the sorrow,
Christmas is even stronger,
than Cupid's destined arrow.

every-one is smiling,
and relaxed on this special day,
no-one is left alone,
every-one is hit by love's ray.

and me sitting alone this night,
without a doubt i realize
i am not alone this day,
i do not yet have to say my goodbyes.

for the lords gift to human kind is,
that on one day at the very least,
no one shall spend the night alone,
not humans, plants or beast.

so lets thank the lord one more,
my dream Christmas i have now,
surrounded by my family and friends,
what more can i ask for this day.
