My Best Friend

by Ellie   Dec 28, 2005

She listened to my problems.
She never interrupted or told me I was wrong.
She understood what I was going through
and told me she would be here for me.

She told me we would grow old.
That we would grow up being soccer moms.
I smiled a big wide grin.
These are the things that I had been wanting to hear.

To me my life is worthless.
But to her my life is priceless.
I thought of what would happen to my friend,
If I would just give up on myself.

To have her as my friend.
I truly don’t deserve it.
Without her by my side.
I might have not made it.

She wipes the hair from my face
and says after high school things get so much better.
I hope your right
I hear myself say.

The feeling I have now is undescribable,
knowing that someone truly cares.
I can rest my head at night,
knowing I can just live for you right now.

Sometime I truly want to end it all
and just forget the past.
Who knows which one of my phone calls could be the last?

But then I remember my best friend
and how awesomely amazing she truly is.
God you dont know how much you really mean to me.
But I sure wish you did.

I am so glad I met you.
