Burning Brides

by Lucy D1am0nd   Jan 1, 2006

There they are,
All standing there.
All screaming in the flames.

They were not meant to die here,
These brides to be.
No one knows their names.

Faces covered,
In ash and soot.
Dresses torn and singed.

There hearts were broken,
Their secrets unspoken,
Standing on the alter of sin.

Black mascara streaming down,
Black smoke fills the air.
And upon each brides head,
Sits a black veil in their hair.

Their dreams and hopes were shattered,
Their lovers are long gone.
These brides haunt the chapel,
Were the fire burned them all.

The chapel was then rebuilt,
The funeral, about to start.
Buried wearing their wedding dresses,
An everlasting lonely heart.
