Nature's rest

by dandy   Jan 1, 2006

Shades of gold and red pierce the eager eye,
as the land takes on a new season.
Vision is rewarded with sights of splendor
from the ever-changing surroundings.
A breath of crisp air plays in the lungs
as the scent of autumn becomes present.
Nature is about to take a rest;
Her last burst of beauty shines brightly.
She closes her eyes and lays down her head
As she’s covered with a blanket of leaves.

    This poem brings a smile to my gloomy day at work. It has great descriptions that was written in a rather cute way, it has beautiful sets of words, wonderful imaginery and very strong visual. Very creative. I truly enjoy reading this. Thanks for sharing. =)

    I love that poem! See nature is so calm and resting. I'm a vegetarian, I can't eat any meat nor anything that comes from animals. Except cheese, I love cheese. lol
