No words

by Evanesce   Jan 2, 2006

Take my hand as we walk but do not look: you will not see... I watched these dead petals fall from this you see, as I squeezed and squeezed this rose until its red tears fell from me... but do not look, my love, you will not sleep. I wanted to be alone. I wanted to have my own. I wanted to know that you loved me. And in the cemetery, I laid so peaceful, so silent these ghosts do not betray... no, these ghosts they stay away as I lay awake. My hopes where that you would come and notice my stay. And then stay with me and perhaps to lay beside. And I could name you my love, and you could name me your love. And the sun would not matter. And the trees needn't grow. And the only thing that is to become is the end of my heartsick lonesomeness. Let the world rain... let the world burn... let us finally sleep.
