The Legend Of The Sleeping God_

by Munir Mezyed   Jan 3, 2006

I stand on the balcony of the universe,
The world is plunged into silence and tranquility
The sun slumbers in the palm of my hand,
Dreaming....

I sail with the calm winds
Passing all the regions of heaven
In the midst of the stars.
Those keep on twinkling
Neither slumber nor sleep seizes them

A dinghy moves ahead,
Approaching where I stand.
It takes me to the goddess of the moon.
I may behold the disk of the sun,
And behold the moon goddess
Without interruption...
For Lo, the sleeping god, the dreamer
Who has been sleeping for millions of years
Awakes to a new dream...
Love is more adorable than sweet dreams!
Love is more adorable than sweet dreams!
