Christmas Wishes

I don't want alot for Christmas,
There is just one thing i need,
I don't care about the presents,
underneath the Christmas tree,
I just want you back at home,

I've stayed up so many nights,
Waiting for you to walk through my door,
I see your shadow in the faint light,
I hear your footsteps on the floor,
But still I can't help wonder,
If we never said goodbye,
Would a tear have ever left my eye?

Why does it have to change now?
