Should've listened

by Kobe   Jan 7, 2006

They say I'm too young to love,
I should live my life,
Before I attach myself to one guy,
But what if I don't want to wait,
I'm ready to take a swing,
And that's when I saw him.

He stood there with his mates,
laughing, flashing thats pearly smile,
And I knew he was the one for me,
But problem number one arrived,
I had no idea who he was,
And to him I was non-existent.

I questioned all my friends,
And they questioned everyone else,
Until finally I had his name,
How old he was,
And best of all a date.

That's when it all went downhill,
His idea of a date was hanging with his mates,
Laughing at me when they dissed me,
And stranding me at the beach,
Worst of all he didn't even know my name.

That was probably to my advantage,
That way no-one immediately knew,
That the girl in the rumours,
Was actually me.

That's what showed me the way to your shoulder,
You listened to my problems,
But that just showed me how much you cared,
And I was too scared to trust a guy again.
