Simple Things

My fantasy...
Is my day dreams..
It's simple things...
That mean the most to me..

She smiles, and laughs,
and hugs her dog,
he's old but it's okay.
She's still loves him anyway.

He stands in the doorway,
watching his little girl grow older.
Soon she'll be like her mother,
and another touch to this world.

She dances in fields of flowers,
it's her smile that's her best power,
she's still moving on.

The rain gently falls down,
he's standing there at the door..
She walks up to him and smiles,
but he just looks at the floor..

She wants to tell him many things,
but he's stuck in his own world.
And she walks away from his lost expression,
but he turns, and walks after her.

He picks her up, and she smiles,
and he tells her she's still his little girl.
She's older now, but there's love somehow,
there's no reason to cry, there's happiness in their eyes..

I'm older now, sitting in the dark,
and I ask myself why I'm alone..
I don't want to be here, I'm far from home,
and I miss him, I miss all of them..
But I can't go back..
The past is the past..
I guess time flies by to fast..
