The Power of Love

by aaron c s   Jan 9, 2006

The earth shakes,
The mountains crumble,
As another lover's,
Heart breaks.

Recognition of power,
That the heart seems to have,
Will make anything happen,
At any given hour.

Some may cry,
Some may scream,
And some will sit,
And ask themselves why.

Controlling the freedom,
That you thought you once had,
But what you don't notice,
Is love has made you numb.

Powerful and sleek,
It holds over you,
As you sit there "happy,"
Unable to speak.

The power of love.

Made me think...espesally the "happy". the syntax as greatly added to to over all effect of the poem. Unique and creative. I look forward to reading more.
