So Close

I finally had him
And I let him slip away
This pain is so horrible
I face this shame everyday

I really have to forget about him
Because He's Forgotten about me
I was so close to having him
And I guess it can never be

I've done a few things wrong in my life
But this one takes the cake
I've made such a mistake this time
It caused my heart to break
