Torn*

Torn for my insides
and ripped apart
i looked down
and there laid my heart

it seems like today
my world fell from the sky
as i lay in my bed tonight
and cry

it feels like tomorrow
i may not get by
but i have to try
as i wipe the tears from my eyes

i still have the memories
but we'll never see
what could have been
you and me

we wont have
anymore memories
as i cry beside my bed
and drop to my knees

praying to God
that this pain will be over
i turn my head
and look over my shoulder

only to find
you standing in my door way
you call out my name
but dont run away

you fall down beside me
and look me in the eyes
my vision is blurry
and you begin to cry

you take my hand
place it on your heart
i dont feel a beat
for it was also torn apart
