She Believes..There\'s Something More (quite long)

by LuckiestLoser   Jan 14, 2006

And she sits there in her living room
Listening to songs she should have written
To say everything she ever wanted to
But words would never be enough for him

She'll think of rhymes and different lines
But it would be nothing but a few shapes on paper
Not quite a foreign language \'cos he could make it up
As he went along, drifts along ignores the pining in his heart

At least she thinks there's something there
Oh she wishes there\'d be something there
And she\'s still sitting in her living room
And from beyond her headphones, her distant other world
She hears the ring, the one note, the beep,
It cant be him; it won\'t be him what if it\'s him?
With one button her hearts all of a flutter and she feels like
She\'s six years old again, good times...

Her eyes they go wide, they cant believe
That he\'s taken the time from his God-given gifted life
To speak to the lowlife that dare look up into the eyes
He says are green... She thinks there\'s something more there

Oh she wishes there\'d be something there

But what does this mean?
Her mind it works in overtime and it\'s really not helping
She tries to analyse every single situation every single thing
All this in a single second and she\'s already talking back

Why can\'t she be normal, why can\'t she be herself
In front of this one, this special shining example
Of everything thats not to be
Everything that will never happen, unless everything changes
She wants everything to change, she wants everyone to see
How difficult that situation is, how any guardian angel
Would save her from herself... she\'ll never have the guts to walk alone
She never wants to be alone, no; all she wants is the love of just one

She hasn\'t heard from him again how long has it been?
The hours seem to mould together without him here
The screaming in the background it doesn\'t make sense
She wants to be in his arms like nothing else

Two days later and she\'s sitting in her usual place
Thinking about the times that have come and passed
All alone in the middle of a hundred people and
Yet to her they were alone...Their own world
Talking about things that will never really matter
But inching towards the depth she knows he has inside
Somewhere, someday somehow she knows she\'ll get there
Even if it takes a lifetime she\'ll wait because he\'s her life now

And every day she sees him it\'s the new best day of her life
And every word he says to her she\'ll treasure in her heart
And if she only knew what he thought inside his head
Maybe she\'d know what to do... oh she wants to hold him

There has to be something there...

Maybe this is the way its supposed to be
That it will never be... that it will never be perfect
That she will be alone, because that\'s the only other real option
Because no one can ever match up to him

Hes so special... Hes so special to her
And she just wants him to know
But she can use every word in the world
And it still wouldnt work...

Maybe this is the way it\'s supposed to be
Sitting talking reminiscing of times that were never had
In a lonely, funny, weird little world
That no one else will ever see

She sits there in her living room smiling to herself
Reading words hes put to her and listening to her heart
Content that she knows who its beating for, and content
That this will be enough for her, and that there is
Something more there
