Tainted Hearts

Lost in my own world i don't notice the rain
The rain that drenches me in my loneliness
The cold icy feeling that hits my body everytime people pass by with tainted hearts

They all feel sorrow, sadness, and pain
The one thing they don't have is purity
Purity exists to us in a mirage
What we think is really there but is not
Am I fool just to believe those fake lies
Fake lies filled with anger and distress

Can you hear the echo of cries for help?
Hear their screams and yells of burden
Feel the pain that they go through
But you don't know that do you?

Can't you see the tainted hearts that I do?
The pain they all go through
The bruises they have and black eyes that show
Grudges they always keep in their hearts
Is it just me that I see these tainted hearts?
Some unloved and piled up with sins
Frowns and sighs painted on faces
Fake grins and happiness that don't show
Why try faking your happiness when the only one your fooling is yourself?

These people I do except
Because I have a tainted heart just like them.
