Im Sorry, So Sorry

by Amy   Jan 17, 2006

I'm really sorry
and that i mean
i didn't mean to hurt you
you were only sixteen

i didn't know what i said
you took so much to heart
i didn't know
it tore you apart

i was unaware
of the pain i caused
the silence grew louder
i stopped and paused

i touched your hand
then your cheek
your face so cold
my knees so weak

my eyes so sore
from all the tears
just remember
your in my prayers

I'm sorry, so sorry
i cry and scream
iv had enough
and fall to my knees

crying uncontrollably
i didn't mean what i said
i was having a bad day
i don't want you to be dead

i love you so much
i always will
nothing would ever change that
why did you take that damn pill

I'm sorry, so sorry
please forgive me
his dad helps me up
i apologize to his family

his face so strong
yet streaked with tears
this has aged him
by many years

his dad hands me a rose
i hold it in my hand
close my eyes and pray
that you will return to me someday

i throw it in the casket
as the lid closes
on top of it
lay a dozen roses

the last time i got to touch you
and say my final prayers
say my final goodbye
and shed those final tears

for i will join you soon
its my fault your gone
we will be together again
before the break of dawn

Nice, I think I could sense your words and their meaning. Keep up the prose and remember to be one with your poem. If it is real you’ll be able to feel it breath and its heart to beat. A poem is a fragment of time, a sliver of emotion trapped in our hearts and set free upon the page. Where it can finally sore and fly with other poems or cry and weep with other broken hearts. Poetry is nothing more than emotion set in motion. Poetry is seldom more than the small fossil that waits within the stone begging for someone to chip it free, and then to wonder how it came to be.

Keep up your good works. May your poems be a great frame for your emotion’s. May there be peace and love in your life. And may the mark you make upon those hearts around you be filled with joyous fragments of your own heart.
