There in the sun it lays,
there in the sun it stays.
It's black and white
as you can see,
As lazy as can be.
It's soft,
slow,
smooth,
What's its next move?
As the slow paces it makes,
like a tortoise, it is.
The paces,
the pause.
It watches it's step,
paw by paw,
step by step.
It smells of laziness,
for it just eats,
sits,
and sleeps.
After it takes a dip in the water,
it shakes.
It shakes off all the water,
that had once been in the lake.
During the night,
it might not have good sight.
So it feels its way,
though the bamboo forests.
There it wanders,
as it seeks to find,
another place to stay.
This animal,
it's filled with peace.
It does no harm.
It's endangered,
and protected by law.
It's full of hope, faith,
and so much more.
What else could you want
from a panda of peace.
It brings tears of joy,
to those in need,
and with happiness to all,
and to all a good laugh.
What else could it be?
But a panda of peace.
