Driving to Say Goodbye

by Kyle   Jan 19, 2006

Im driving to say goodbye
These familiar roads that lead to you
I travel one last time,
Its appropriately raining
The sky is true and gray
This weight in my chest has never felt this heavy
Desperate thoughts of what to say
My mind is racing with my car
The music suites my noisy thoughts
The volume yells with my soul
It could never be loud enough.
A box of memories sits on my seat
Tapping at the window of my pain
Your peaceful freedom comes with a price
A mountain of grief that Im forced to climb
Bury me when I reach the top
If thats the closest I will get to God.
