My friend

by Shawna   Jan 20, 2006

My friend is there for me
it is easy to see.
She is there
wherever i am.
She stands by me
it is easy to see.
Marissa is my friend,
one that you cannot bend.
she stands tall,
and has a ball.
whenever I need her,
I don't have to ask her.
For she stands by me,
it is easy to see.
Marissa is there
she is easy to share;
for she is there.
May she be
the key to life?
I do not know,
and I do not care.

Hey I'll be honest - it isnt fantastic but it isnt bad. To me it seemed you were just aiming to rhyme which is never a good thing because poetry isnt always about rhyming. However I often write not so good poems for my friends just because they are my friends maybe thats what this is? Either way I can see a lot of potential and if you keep writing i'm sure you'll go far. =)
