Lost Love

by Liz   Jan 22, 2006

Crimson red flows through the skies,
Tears fall freely from her eyes,
That once true love she shared with a guy,
Ended with a simple kiss good-bye,
Now the pain will really start,
As she tears herself apart,
That love she felt so long ago...
The feel of his lips only she will know...
He's found a new love,
With beauty like a dove,
Long black hair to her knees,
A laughter as soothing as the breeze...
He no longer needs his "runner up"
So she eases the pain with one painless cut...
Then another and another,
Now he's a new father...

The cuts grew deeper,
The hills grew steeper,
And when she could no longer stand,
She fell asleep and went to neverland,
Never again would her heart cry,
She could sing in happiness to the sky,
She would sing:

"Forever young with my king,
Forever young as his queen,
Heaven has finally blessed me,
I now have my once longed sympathy,
Do not weep for I did not die,
I simply grew wings and took to the sky..."
