Causality

by Alma_Oscura   Jan 23, 2006

Self-denied of all that prospers…
I cannot keep away.
To know all that deprives my thirst
Is keeping them all at bay.
What sinister deeds in a broken heart
Will heal this wound of time?
Surely none of this world can see…
The true meaning of this rhyme.

Time and time after time and again
I wander around in a soul-centered spin.
Will I never gain the will to thrive…
…Could I ever even hope to survive?
What draws them nearer to me this red day?
How many feelings and hearts have to pay?
It seems so simple to outsiders’ eyes…
…Yet they do not see past the bright sunrise.
An eclipse so dark that I cannot see light
Yet the darkness is now growing ever so bright.
When will they learn to keep to themselves
And leave me alone to my thoughts to dwell?
Must I slaughter them all one by one?
Could I rest after this deed was done?
Maybe I am just a shadow sleeping
And when I awaken I’ll find I was dreaming.

So see, not so simple to your untrained eyes…
I go to sleep in tremors and sighs…
You are so ignorant you don’t know yourself
And sit with all other toys on the shelf.
You are being played with invisible strings
A puppet you are, of invincible things.
Do you not see, how much pain you are causing?
You act out your beliefs without even pausing…
You don’t even think of what’s right or what’s wrong…
You only see what you see in God’s Song.
Dwell on me now and you’d understand,
Why I am who I am; why I stand.
Could you see if you tried to be
Like me or someone else…HA…’like me’.
You would suffer if you entered my mind,
There are no candles that would be so kind.
Light does not dwell in the dark covers here,
Only death upon cold bodies…and fear.
Dreams last longer and on through the night,
Causing those whom I despise such fright.
You would not see, how much this could be,
Even if you were someone like me.
You are a puppet, a robot for orders.
You dare not cross these thin religious borders.

So leave me alone…to my darkened sky.
Lifting my hands to dark spirits with a cry.
You will not see…
You could not be…
I am Eden, so you see.
You are they, and you are lost…
You cannot find shadows whatever the cost.
I now wake up my darkness inside,
And let it wander free and wide.
Stand far away and watch if you wish,
The red times and salt rhymes my dreaming will dish.

You will not see…
You could not be…
I am Eden…
So now do you see…?
