Whenever You Reach For Us

by Danielle Weaver   Jan 23, 2006

The shocks wearing off now...
We can breathe
We just got to our feet now...
But we still can't speak,
we never will...

There's nothing to say now,
It's just as well...
We can't help our best friend now...
God, this must be hell...

We see you cry and we can't help you through
But please realize there's nothing we wouldn't do
We'll be your shoulders to cry on,
We'll be the hands you need to hold,
We'll be the friends to pick you up,
Whenever you reach for us

Sally, you've seen brighter days...
We've been there,
And Sally, You've seen dreary days...
More than your fair share
We wish we could live through some for you
Take some pain away...
but we can't
