I liked this a lot.. the only thing i have aside from praise is,

and he held the sky's hand
without an idea of how hard and tight
the atmosphere would hold on

i think the last part about the atmosphere is kind of overdoing the idea,.. i'd explain it more subtly.. but other than that it was awesome..

I enjoyed this poem and how open it is to interpretation :) Very orginal, well done!
