a look to deep,
a word to say
a lie to mean.
a smile mistaken
a tear unshed
a gesture unnoticed
a thought unsaid
a picture untaken
a dream undrempt
a fire unfurnished
a secret well kept
a song unsung
a sound unheard
a book unread
a page unturned
a fall unfell
a winters past
a summer unforgotten
a memory to last
a word unwritten
a game unplayed
a line unfinished
a dance unsaved
a step taken up
a poem written down
a writer unheard of
a king lost his crown
a gun off safety
a prayer unprayed
a bottle worth drinking
a part well played
a show unperformed
a track to skip
a mountain to climb
a rock to kick
a key to open
a door kept closed
a live well lived
a dead unrose
a mile to walk
a foot to run
a pattern unfinished
a top unspun
a heart to be broken
a fist to be shook
and a look in my eyes
was all that it took.
