The angel in disguise

by Steffi   Jan 31, 2006

She walks through the hallway,
No one stops and stares.
She isnt one of the pretty girls
Why would anybody care?
She hates her glasses,
She hates her braces,
She hates her hair.
Shes the shadow of a ghost,
That no one knows is there.

She sits in the back of the room,
And doesnt raise her hand.
Shes the smartest in her class.
No one ever invites her to places,
No one says that shes pretty.

She doesnt go to dances,
Or hang out at the mall.
She spends her time in her room,
Painting pictures on her wall.
She isnt a cheerleader,
She sits in the stands.
No matter how much it hurts,
For everyone to see.
She always somehows manages,
To wear her heart out on her sleeve.

But thats what he loves about her,
Though she doesnt know.
He loves how she doesnt fit in,
And doesnt preffer sand to the snow.
He thinks that shes an angel in disguise.
If only he could find the courage,
To talk to her, get to know her well.
If only she knew.
