I was running alone New Years Eve at Grahams,
Just dancing, talking and drinking were in my plans.
I noticed a cute blonde at a table close by,
A long legged beauty, she must have a guy.
I watched from a distance to figure it out,
I wanted to dance but would I strike out?
I made up my mind and approached her to dance,
We talked about life, love and romance.
I quizzed her in depth and she passed all my tests,
But the guy making flowers was becoming a pest.
Through-out the night we talked and we danced,
Lost in her eyes was I becoming entranced?
I asked for her number and she thought that OK,
But she asked me a question while on the way.
What is my name? She inquired of me,
My mind drew a blank.. fear gripping me.
I squirmed and I squirmed, she found this so rich,
She thinks this is funny, I think she’s a witch.
I asked for a letter and she told me a “Câ€,
Again I was squirming. Please, someone shoot me.
She gave me her number and I called the next day,
We talked and we shared, there was plenty to say.
We have gone to dinner, lunch and we’ve danced,
A new relationship has pleasantly advanced.
Looking for reasons to not date her at all,
None to be found. She also likes football.
I met her two kids and they were sizing me up,
We were kissing good-bye, they were yucking it up.
You’ve won most of my heart, so handle with care,
I’ll show you respect so you will never despair.
You and your family I am happy to have met,
So, when we whoooop you in Uno don’t get to upset!!
This poem is not finished it is a work in progress,
There’s much more to be written about us, my princess.
You’re the cause of my smile, my heart you have touched,
Till I see you again, I will miss you Disssssssssss Much!!!
