Love Personified

by Bradley   Jan 31, 2006

Like a thorn in my side and a lingering pain
You stay inside, your essence remains

We could shout and scream and profound forever
But for poorer for richer and for worse for better

As a shade of anger moves across your face
I smile with your frown in a conflicting embrace

An eruption of rage on the edge of every word
But to hold you in silence is much more preferred

From the anger and fury when our opinions collide
To the heart warming love when your laying by my side

I see the beast come forth when we both disagree
But you beauty is exposed when your anxiety free

Ive seen tears of sorrow run down your rosy cheeks
Contrasting your smile when your passion for life leaks

We have broken our bonds and then joined them yet again
We've split each others hearts only to mend them vein by vein

So to spot with our eyes and view whats easy to see
We are love personified and Im sure you'll agree

That with every warming clasp and touch of skin
That to break it once again would simply be a sin.
