No More Lie

by kathy   Feb 1, 2006

She stared up at the night sky
Tried so hard not to cry
Wondering if there was a guy
That wouldnt make her want to die
Would dry every tear from her eyes
And would never have to lie

She couldnt handle the lie
That she saw in his dark eyes
Reflecting the image of the sky
Thinking of it she began to cry
Only wanting to hide and die
What happened to the sweet guy?

She couldnt handle another guy
That would enjoy making her cry
The music she had seen in her eyes
Slowly faded and began to die
She started to believe in the lie
But was distracted by the night sky

A distant star glistened in the sky
Reflecting in her tearing eyes
Wondering why he had to lie,
Pretending he was a great guy
She wished that he would die
And be the one that had to cry

Soon the clouds began to cry
Not knowing the harm of a lie
Or how much hurt came from a guy
But knew how soon the drops would die
Into a pool that would emit the sky
That glistened like tears in her eyes

She soon dried her teary eyes
No need of any other guy
Did not need to deal with a lie
She smiled looking at the sky
No longer wanting to have to cry
Realizing there was no need to die

Tear stained eyes stared at the sky
No need to cry over a stupid guy
Ignoring a lie that had made her want to die
