It Started in the Classroom

by Steffi   Feb 2, 2006

It started in the classroom,
She somehow caught his eye.
He stopped his work and glanced.
He thought to himself,
What a beautiful girl..
But shed never go,
For a guy like me.

Shes miss Popular,
Im the guy who
Prefers to be alone.
She seems destined
For glory and fame.
I dont even have
A penny to my name.

It started in the classroom,
His voice caught her attention.
When the teacher called upon,
A boy to answer his question.
He stuttered and he stumbled,
But at last got the answer out.
The class all snickered,
At the voice so full of doubt.

She stopped her work and wondered,
Would he ever go for me?
The guy whos in detention,
Who always wants to be alone.
A name preferred
to be left un-mentioned.
He listens to rock,
and plays in a band.
I take lessons for ballet,
and play the piano grand.

It started in the classroom,
Though neither of them knew.
How could any tell,
That love was in its bloom.
He passed her in the hallway,
And flashed a nervous smile.
She found him later on,
And asked to chat a while.
How could they figure out,
That their lives would change,
The day that they
Learned each others name.
