Happiness

by Cristiana   Feb 3, 2006

I am happy for
All the memories I own
All the thoughts I keep
All the milestones I cross.

I am joyful for
The people I meet
The friends I discover
The togetherness within groups.

I am pleased
By the shelter I come across
By the protection from friends
By their promises of retreat.

I am fortunate
For the laughter I hear
For the smiles given out
For the spirits that I have lifted.

I am overjoyed that
My little brothers are cheerful
My older siblings are attempting life
My Nintendo supplies still work.

I am content
With the attention I'm given
With the love I receive
With the oneness I feel.

I am satisfied
That I have great friends
That I have more choices
That I have better social life.

I am successful
In making people smile
In being spontaneous
In smiling at all that I do.

I am jubilant when
I finish a problem
I finish a book
I finish a poem.

I am favored
In the sense that,
For a period of time,
I can live in a
Blissful ignorance
Of the world around me
Or the world at home,
And can live in peace.
