There was that one special place
Where we would be for hours
Just sitting and talking
Throwing rocks into the creek
Climbing down the sides
I remember when you asked me

I get abused pushed around

Everything seems in place
I answered with a simple

As you neared me
I looked you in the eye
One single tear fell
I knew then what was happening
That night I sensed
Something wasn't right
I went to the bridge
To escape my family
In hopes you'd be there
As I neared I saw you
Lieing on the big wooden boards
I looked you in the eye
You looked back
What happened
I asked as I sat down
He hit me,He hit me real hard
As you lifted your sleeve
I saw the bruise
A tear flew from my eye
Why I asked
I was a few minutes late
He said I was smoking drugs
We had a sugar buzz
We've been eating freezies
I argued back
Then with one last movement
he raised his hand
With a swift movement
You were bruised
You ran to your room
Only to call upon me the next day
I have to move
Was the first thing you said answered the phone
I went to the bridge today
Brought along a book
To write my memories in
And ran through the rapids
Like we used to do
I stayed a while
Not too long
Because it brought back too many memories
