You Consume Me

by Ryan Thompson   Jan 12, 2004

You consume me
With your smile and laugh
Your love takes my soul over
And eases my mind of any worries

My love for you
Pours through the veins of my body
And spills into my soul
Making it happy and joyous

As the seconds tick away
And the hours whisk away
Time is of no existence
When I am with you

My memories of you
Keep my conscious and well
When we are apart
But my heart still longs for you

Your gentle warm embrace
Soothes my very soul
And makes my heart dance with yours
You consume me
