Nothingness

by elise   Feb 13, 2006

A scream rang through the stars,
and breath was held under the sun,
people whistled and walked away,
but I myself chose to run.

Footsteps follow me down the path,
I turn to see that no one is there,
but as I continue down that lonesome road,
there's a breath of cold, dark air.

Something knocks me down,
and I scream until I couldn't see,
the poeple walked away whistling,
that scream through the stars was me.

Time is a circle as I run for my life,
things happen at the same time,
for all I know, this could be when I'm dead,
all the mysteries of my existence unwind.

Did anybody notice that life is death,
and at the same time we live and die,
but I don't know a thing as I run,
and through the white water spider web of lies.

Hurt will never find me,
But it has already won beside the circular motion of time,
I fall into the deep space of nothingness,
just trying to make this poem rhyme.
