My Thoughts Are In The Sky

I lay here tonight
trying not to cry
there are no interruptions
just me and the sky

As I look at the stars
I see them drift and wander
I follow them with my eyes
and instantly feel less stronger

Thinking about you
wondering where you are
I know you're only ten minutes away
but even that seems far

We've drifted apart
supposedly you're mad at me
and loving you has become so hard
but I know we're still meant to be

I gaze deeper into the sky
and follow the slowest moving star
as it soars and flies
and shines on even more

I begin to fall asleep
you're still in my mind
why you're mad at me
I don't know why

It hurts me so much
I don't know if you care
loving anybody is hard
and for me it's very rare

However loving you is easy
because I know you're the one
but I don't get why you don't see that
I give you so much and then some

I feel like you're hiding them
your feelings intact
and you won't show your emotions
but they still attack

Whenever you're around me
whenever you see my face
I know your love surfaces
and you hear the voice of fate

Let's just be in love
I can show you how
you truly know
that I'm the one you want
so take me right now

I awaken to see the stars again
still dancing across the sky
with you still in my mind
I find the energy to go inside

And I lay in my bed
with you in my head
loose consciousness
and dream of you again

My love in my heart
my feelings trying to relax
impossible to do and the night plays back.
