Questions and Cliches

by livefreebright   Feb 18, 2006

As I sit down the write to words flow free
I believe that you were put here for me
As poetic and cliche it may sound
Your the one that keeps my feet on the ground
Though I am flying high when I look in your eyes
The world fades to black and my questions are whys
Why can't I sleep until the clock hits two
Is it really because I'm in love with you

I'm scared to hurt you
A boy like you should never
Feel the breaking of a heart
Your too perfect for me
Was it really meant to be true
Or meant to be ripped apart
I knew it straight from the start
Before you spoke a word
Before you made a move
I knew it was love and there's
nothing to proove

Maybe I am just not the settling type
Too impacient to wait for this fruit to ripe
Or maybe I'm scared, I've been hurt in the past
When my heart was shattered, fragile like glass
When I try to speak my tounges twists and ties
The world fades to black and my questions are whys
Why can't I get you out of my head
Without you my world would be grey and dead

I'm scared to hurt you
A boy like you should never
Feel the breaking of a heart
Your too perfect for me
Was it really meant to be true
Or meant to be ripped apart
I knew it straight from the start
Before you spoke a word
Before you made a move
I knew it was love and there's
nothing to proove

I am holding on to make it through
With every step I know you're there too
Your my star though I'm the one falling
You heard me calling, when I was lost in your eyes
