Late Night Stroll

by danielle   Feb 19, 2006

Walking down the silent streets
One night, very late
Holding hands in the moonlight
Knowing we are soul mates

Sitting on a bench
In a forest on our own
Looking up into your eyes
Wishing we never had to go home

Talking about anything
That popped into our heads
Then silence came over us
And not a word was said

You wrapped your arms around me
Running your fingers through my hair
Even though it was freezing
i felt warm because you were there

We sat and talked for hours
About what was on our minds
So caught up in conversation
We didn't notice the time

The sky was getting lighter
So you said we should go home
But i didn't want to go
And sit in bed alone

We walked out of the forest
And down the dusty roads
My hand in your hand
We love each other but no one else knows

We got back to our houses
Stood at my back gate on our road
You kissed me and said i love you
That was the end of our late night stroll
