I would only exist from day to day,
as the mere image of a human being.

I would have continued my life,
with indifference and hate in my heart.
Without you, I would have never
found happiness and fulfillment.
I would be empty, full of sorrow
and multitude of regrets.
Without you, the sun could never rise
to shine upon my face,
to give me warmth and comfort.
I would be cold like the wind,
blowing across the artctic wilderness.
Without you, I would surely die
As a woman with no water to quench
her thirst, and no food for her belly
my soul would dry up and wither away,
as dust upon the earth.
